Digital services provider Atos is the first partner to deliver ready-to-use mobile applications for Mindsphere, Siemens ' open, cloud-based operating system for the IoT. The applications developed by Atos are designed to provide employees in industrial companies with all relevant information from production machines or entire production lines at any time - presented on a mobile device. The aim: more efficient machine and conflict management as well as resource optimization to increase plant productivity. The first six Mindsphere applications from Atos include the 'Manufacturing Sustainability App' and the 'Production Confirmation App'.

Atos uses the Mindsphere apps to integrate data from production machines and various management systems such as Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP). By collecting and enriching relevant data, it will then be possible to analyze data in the form of big data analytics. This provides the user with role- and position-specific information about the current and future status of production. Depending on the application, they can react to emerging problems in the production process and take countermeasures in good time. The apps are also designed to help make processes more efficient. The Atos apps will be available with Mindsphere version 2.0.

"Atos is one of the first partners for Mindsphere: On the one hand, we offer all the necessary integration, infrastructure, consulting and security services to operate the MindSphere platform," says Philippe Miltin, Senior Vice President Manufacturing, Retail and Transportation at Atos. "On the other hand, we are particularly focused on the development of ready-to-use applications that Mindsphere customers can seamlessly connect to their existing IT systems. Our goal is to deliver even more apps in the course of the year."
