The HPE Solution Framework for Gaia-X is designed to help enterprises, service providers and public organizations prepare for participation in Gaia-X. It supports virtually all the capabilities required to both deliver and consume data and services in a decentralized, federated environment. As a result, users can improve their ability to create value from data, tap into vast distributed data pools and strengthen their sovereignty over their data-driven business model.

The framework is based on a reference architecture that utilizes key components from HPE's software portfolio, third-party software and the Cloud28+ business platform. Cloud 28+ is a marketplace for the monetization of data and services. Individual solution components of the framework and entire solution environments are available as a service through HPE GreenLake Cloud Services.

HPE is also now announcing the HPE Roadmap Service for Gaia-X, which helps customers assess their Gaia-X readiness and develop a roadmap.

"Gaia-X is an answer to the key question of the next wave of digital transformation: How can we create network effects without centralizing all data? This fits perfectly with our corporate strategy, which is focused on unlocking the value of data distributed across locations and clouds," says Johannes Koch, Senior Vice President of HPE Germany, Austria and Switzerland. "However, Gaia- X does not do the job alone. It takes a set of skills to benefit from this platform. Essentially, you need to know how to monetize data and put it to work. This is exactly what we enable our customers to do with our Gaia-X solutions."

The availability

Gaia-X is now entering the operational phase with first showcase projects and the first Gaia-X compliant solutions are expected to be certified in December 2021.

HPE has been a member of the non-profit organization Gaia-X AISBL since its inception and contributes to the Gaia-X architecture, standards and certification.

The HPE Solution Framework for Gaia-X and the HPE Roadmap Service for Gaia-X are available in Europe. Individual solution components and entire solution environments are available via HPE GreenLake Cloud Services. Gaia-X interfaces and connectors will be made available as soon as the Gaia-X specifications are finalized.
