Sovereign edge-to-cloud platform for the industry
Hilscher Gesellschaft für Systemautomation and Schwarz Digits have announced a cooperation to provide sovereign European edge-to-cloud solutions for the industry.
The core is the combination of Hilscher's edge and device management platform 'netField' and the European cloud infrastructure 'Stackit' Cloud from Schwarz Digits. The aim is to create an open, scalable infrastructure for industrial companies, machine manufacturers, OEMs and system integrators to roll out digital services faster - with full control over sensitive operating, process and product data. Depending on requirements, applications can be operated in the public cloud, private cloud or on-premise. The platform securely connects machines and systems with cloud resources in Europe and also facilitates the integration of existing machine parks. It addresses two central hurdles of industrial digitalization: the reliable connection of heterogeneous OT networks and machine environments as well as cloud use under European sovereignty, security and compliance requirements.
The cooperation creates the basis for digital applications such as smart remote services, virtual commissioning, condition monitoring, predictive maintenance and secure shopfloor device management.
