Sales increase for Rockwell Automation
Rockwell Automation announces its financial figures for the second quarter of 2019: For the provider of industrial automation and information solutions, it ended with sales of around USD 1.66 billion - an increase of 0.4% compared to the previous year.
In the second quarter of 2019, which ended on December 31, 2018, Rockwell Automation achieved organic sales growth of 3.6 %. Currency effects reduced sales by 3.2 %.
TheArchitecture & Software division generated sales of around USD 740 million in the second quarter of 2019. This corresponds to a decrease of 2.2% compared to the same quarter of the previous year (USD 757 million). Organic sales climbed by 1.2 percentage points. Currency effects reduced sales by 3.5%, while an acquisition increased them by 0.1%. The operating result amounted to USD 210 million compared to USD 217 million in the second quarter of 2018. The margin fell from 28.7% in the same period of the previous year to 28.4%.
In the 'Control Products & Solutions' division, sales amounted to around USD 918 million, which corresponds to growth of 2.5% compared to the same quarter of the previous year (USD 895 million). Organic sales rose by 5.7%, while currency effects reduced sales by 3.2%. The operating result amounted to USD 144 million (2018: USD 128 million). The margin increased to 15.7%. In the same quarter of the previous year, it was 14.3%.
