Bihl+Wiedemann
Portfolio expanded
Bihl+Wiedemann has expanded the ASi product portfolio with ASi-5 motor modules - on the one hand for direct control of roller drives with 24 V(DC) and 48 V(DC) via ASi, and on the other hand for decentralized control of three-phase AC drives with and without frequency inverters.
In addition to the BWU4246 motor module for connecting two 24 V motorized rollers of the 'Interroll EC 5000 AI' type with 20 W/ 35 W, the BWU4212 module also offers a solution for controlling two 48 V motorized rollers of the 'EC 5000 AI' version with 50 W. Speed and ramps can be written cyclically with both modules in protection class IP67, which contain separate line protection for each motor.
According to the supplier, the four digital inputs for connecting sensors are supplied from ASi in both cases, while the drives are supplied from AUX - in the case of 'BWU4212' via the new 48 V profile cable. The 'BWU4212' makes it possible to halve the current compared to the 24 V version and thus reduce the power loss by 75 % in order to better compensate for load peaks.
The ASi-5 motor module BWU4068 is available for controlling an 'SEW Movimot' geared motor with a decentralized frequency inverter. The short cycle time of ASi-5 makes it possible to write and read ramps and speed cyclically with virtually no delay. At the same time, all SEW diagnostic data and the actually measured output current can be read cyclically as an analog value. A total of four digital inputs for connecting sensors and two digital outputs are also available in the motor module for this purpose.
