Barbara Humpton becomes CEO
Effective June 1, 2018, Barbara Humpton will become CEO of Siemens USA. Humpton is currently CEO of Siemens US subsidiary SGT (Siemens Government Technologies), which conducts business with US government agencies in the energy, infrastructure, automation and marine sectors.
Humpton joined Siemens Government Technologies in 2011 as Senior Vice President Business Development and took over the management of this unit in 2015. Prior to that, she held senior positions as Vice President at Lockheed Martin and Booz Hamilton. Humpton takes over the CEO position from Lisa Davis, member of the Siemens Managing Board, who held the position on an interim basis.
Siemens has been active in the USA for over 160 years and has invested 35 billion US dollars (equivalent to around 29.2 billion euros) there over the past 15 years. With 50,000 employees at over 60 manufacturing locations, Siemens generated sales of 23.3 billion US dollars (approximately 19.4 billion euros) in the United States in fiscal year 2017.
