Retrofitting the PCI bus

Many industrial computers in the industrial environment are still equipped with a PCI bus and do not have the faster PCI Express standard.

The PCI-FC16U plug-in card from Icpdas offers a way of retrofitting fast counter and frequency inputs as well as digital I/Os on the PCI bus. The card supports both the +3.3 V and the +5 V PCI bus. With the help of a DIP switch, users can define the card ID themselves. The PCI card is equipped with 32 programmable digital inputs and outputs as well as 16 individually configurable channels for frequency measurements or counter applications. Drivers for Windows and Linux as well as sample programs for programmers such as Labview, Matlab, VB, VC or Delphi are already included in the scope of delivery. The company also has a selection of expansion cards for the PCI Express bus in its product range.
