Its performance makes it ideal for smart machines that communicate with each other and send data to the cloud. The processor is scalable over a wide range: from Celeron with 2.2 GHz to Core i7 with 2.8 GHz. It offers up to 16 GB RAM and 48 GB flash memory and is equipped with a TPM module. The PC supports standard operating systems such as Windows 10 IoT Enterprise and Linux and can be used as an edge controller. B&R offers the common OPC UA and MQTT protocols for communication between the machines and to the cloud. The mobile computer is resistant to vibrations, shock, salt, UV light and oil and does not require a fan despite its completely enclosed housing. It is maintenance-free and has a specially developed temperature management system and can therefore be used at a surface temperature of -40 °C to +85 °C. In addition to a wide standard voltage range from 9 V to 32 V, the PC has integrated load dump protection. It can be modularly expanded with additional communication interfaces via two internal slots.
