From the sensor to the cloud

Schubert System Elektronik (SSE) stands for 50 years of development experience in the field of industrial computer systems. The portfolio ranges from sensors to the cloud, from hardware and software to assemblies and complete systems. Customers are companies and OEMs in the fields of mechanical engineering, automation, medical technology and more.
In the course of this year's anniversary, SSE is consistently expanding its innovative strength as a digital integration specialist for all relevant technologies in terms of operating concepts, products and user interfaces for Industry 4.0 under the motto "Excellence in industrial interaction". The current highlights include two products: The Prime Box Pico as one of the smallest industrial box PCs and the PC-based HMI and web panels with versatile expansion options.

Compact box PC for connectivity and edge computing

Within the modular range of industrial computer products of the Prime Cube® product brand, the Prime Box Pico is one of the smallest configurable industrial box PCs. Thanks to its very compact design, it fits into the smallest gap in the control cabinet and is characterized by a robust system design. The passive cooling ensures a long service life. Connectivity can be enhanced as required with WLAN, LTE or other radio extensions. A robust, fast and simple fieldbus is also available with the optional CAN bus extension.

Various hardware components and the development of individual edge computing and software concepts are also available for expansion. For example, virtualization tools such as a real-time hypervisor can be used to integrate existing remote maintenance solutions and run Docker-based applications in parallel. If the range of functions of the Prime Box Pico is not sufficient, this can be increased via the expansion interface.
From the BIOS level to operating system configurations and middleware, the SSE experts can develop customized software solutions for the IIoT that meet specific requirements.

The PC-based HMI and web panels for the visualization of industrial applications can be implemented in various diagonals as built-in and surface-mounted versions and can be integrated into any modern machine design.
Thanks to the robust system design, passive cooling and IP65 protection class, the devices can also be used in demanding environments. The operating system and BIOS can be preconfigured on request.
The galvanized sheet steel housing with powder-coated front frame ensures high mechanical stability, while the tempered and anti-reflective glass front ensures optimum usability.
The projected capacitive touch technology (PCT) enables convenient and modern interaction. Based on SSE's expertise in touch parameterization, individual requirements such as glove operation, water detection or a cleaning mode can be implemented. Factors such as EMC-stable 4-finger operation and palm detection are pre-parameterized as standard.
