The exhibition organizer is thus creating planning security for exhibitors, conference participants and visitors. NürnbergMesse conducted a survey of exhibitors up until yesterday and now a large majority have apparently spoken out in favor of the postponement. The embedded world Conference and the electronic displays Conference will also be postponed.

Since September 2021, the Exhibition Center Nuremberg has again successfully hosted trade fairs and congresses that take place in accordance with a sustainable hygiene concept and are extremely well received by exhibitors and visitors. At the same time, NürnbergMesse responds individually to the needs of its customers and industries. This results in different decisions for the various events. The current development of the coronavirus pandemic is causing uncertainty among many of the exhibitors at embedded world. Benedikt Weyerer, Executive Director, embedded world, explains: "By postponing embedded world 2022 to the summer at an early stage, we are responding to the wishes of many exhibitors and are now providing planning security. We would like to thank the many constructive discussions with industry representatives, who have provided important impetus for this decision. Together with the exhibitors, we look forward to seeing the international embedded community again in Nuremberg from June 21 to 23 next year!

Trade fair and conferences belong together

The embedded world Conference will take place parallel to the trade fair. As usual, the renowned conference will focus on cutting-edge topics - participants can look forward to megatrends. Prof. Dr.-Ing. Axel Sikora, Chairman of the embedded world Conference, is looking forward to the twentieth edition: "The embedded world Conference 2022 will once again highlight the current state of research and development. We will once again combine comprehensive topics on the development of complex overall systems with current special topics such as RISC-V or solutions for the problems in times of scarce chip resources and long-term megatrends such as artificial intelligence (AI), open source solutions and secure connectivity. The embedded world Conference brings together the leading minds who are already developing innovations for tomorrow."

In the field of display technology, the electronic displays Conference brings together researchers, developers and decision-makers. "Micro-LEDs and OLEDs, for example, will be a hot topic in 2022," reports Prof. Dr. Karlheinz Blankenbach, Pforzheim University of Applied Sciences, Chairman of the Conference Advisory Board.
