Thilo Döring replaces Michael Volz
With effect from June 30, 2017, Michael Volz is handing over his responsibilities within the HMS Group and the chairmanship of the management board to Thilo Döring. After 17 years, Volz is retiring from the operational business.
As a freelance management consultant, Volz will continue to work for HMS Industrial Networks in various areas - for example in the development of new business areas and in the field of Industry 4.0 and the Industrial Internet of Things. His successor, Thilo Döring, will take over the management of the continental European sales organization and has been appointed to the Corporate Management Team of the HMS Group.
Döring has many years of experience in the automation industry. He has been with HMS for seven years, most recently as a member of the Management Board in the Sales department. Gunnar Högberg, who also holds the position of Chief Financial Officer in the HMS Group, has been appointed Deputy Chairman of the Management Board. Christian Weißenrieder will continue to support the new management in his role as authorized signatory in the operational business.
HMS Industrial Networks is a manufacturer of products for industrial communication, including industrial remote maintenance. The company develops and manufactures solutions for connecting automation devices to industrial networks. Development and production take place at the headquarters in Halmstad/Sweden, in Ravensburg/Germany and in Nivelles/Belgium. The company's own subsidiaries in China, Germany, Switzerland, Finland, France, India, Italy, Japan, the UK and the USA provide local sales and support. The company employs over 500 people. In the 2016 financial year, turnover amounted to 101 million euros.
