Industrial Internet Consortium
RTI Managing Director becomes Deputy Chairman
Dr. Stan Schneider, Managing Director of Real-Time Innovations (RTI), has been elected Vice Chairman of the Steering Committee of the Industrial Internet Consortium (IIC).
The IIC aims to accelerate the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT). As RTI has experience with IIoT applications, the company is active in the IIC with its technical, marketing and business activities. Dr. Stan Schneider - the CEO of RTI - joins the newly appointed leadership team of the IIC Steering Committee, which is now composed as follows:
- Chair: Dirk Slama, Vice President of Business Development, Bosch Software Innovations
- Vice Chair: Stan Schneider, CEO of RTI
- Secretary: Wael William Diab, Senior Director, Huawei Technologies
- Chair Testbed Subcommittee: Dr. Said Tabet, Tech Lead, IoT and AI Strategy, Dell EMC
"The leadership team represents the global relevance and technical depth of the IIC. It brings together members from three major regions of the world, including experts from industry, telecommunications, software and IT," says Stan Schneider. "The IIC is by far the most influential organization in the IIoT. To counteract the confusion and accelerate change, the market needs large companies, small companies, researchers and governments to speak with a common voice. Together, we can be that voice."
RTI's IIoT experience includes co-chairing the Connectivity, Ecosystem, Automotive and Data Management working groups and leading testbeds in Connected Healthcare, Microgrids, Traffic Management and Security Evaluation. Employees have contributed to key IIC technical guidelines, including the Industrial Internet Reference Architecture (IIRA), the Industrial Internet Connectivity Framework (IIIC) and the Industrial Internet Security Framework (IISF) documents.
