They support the 10Base-T and 100Base-TX transmission standards. The ports are equipped with M12 connectors, the power supply is also based on M12 connectors; an optional version with 'daisy chain' is available so that several components in the field can be supplied in series. Depending on the version, the switches from ifm fulfill protection class IP67 or IP69K. The devices with the higher degree of protection are equipped with stainless steel sockets and are also suitable for the food industry, for example. The operating temperature range of -25 to +70 °C, the power supply of 8 V to 32 V(DC) and, according to the manufacturer, high shock and vibration resistance also facilitate use for mobile applications, for example in mobile machines. Thanks to the E20 approval, it can also be used outdoors in vehicles.
