Bosch Connected Industry under new management

On July 1, 2019, Sven Hamann (pictured) took over as Head of Bosch Connected Industry. Hamann succeeds Dr. Stefan Aßmann. As Business Chief Digital Officer, he is moving to the Bosch Industrial Technology division.

"For us, the factory of the future is a business model for the external market and at the same time the lever for equipping the 280 Bosch plants worldwide for future challenges in the best possible way. Filling key positions with Industry 4.0 experts is a logical step and provides new impetus," says Rolf Najork, Bosch Board of Management member responsible for Industrial Technology.

Since its foundation in 2018, the 'Bosch Connected Industry' product area has developed well, according to the company: More than 50 international customers are already using software solutions from the Nexeed portfolio - including BMW, Osram and Trumpf. "More and more companies are relying on Bosch's Industry 4.0 expertise. With Sven Hamann, we have now gained a proven expert in manufacturing and automation to further develop the 'Bosch Connected Industry' business unit and portfolio," says Najork. Hamann was most recently responsible for the research area of manufacturing automation and materials technology at Bosch.
