With global shutter technology

Photonfocus launches the first UV camera with global shutter technology for machine vision applications within the 'photonSpectral' platform.

The camera offers a sensitivity of more than 40 % quantum efficiency from 170 to 820 nm. It is optimized for UV applications, but can also be used in the visible and NIR (near infrared) range. When used in industrial image processing, the high-precision UV camera technology benefits from global shutter technology, which ensures razor-sharp images of fast-moving objects.

The UV camera in the MV4 series uses backside-illuminated image sensors (BSI) to reduce noise, which improves image quality. With a frame rate of 140 fps at full resolution of 1280 x 1024 pixels, the camera captures even extremely fast processes. In addition, the UV camera is equipped with a C-mount lens connection and offers fast data transfer with the 10 GigE interface. The Photonfocus camera measures just 59 mm x 59 mm x 102.5 mm in its industrial-grade housing and can also be supplied with power via PoE (Power over Ethernet).
