The 2021 financial year will also be characterized by pandemic uncertainties. However, a good order backlog and a positive trend in the development of incoming orders since the fourth quarter of 2020 have allowed the company to make a strong start to the new financial year, according to its own statements. The growth signals from the logistics, semiconductor and electronics application areas as well as the confidence in China make the management fundamentally optimistic for the new financial year. Based on current information, the Basler group plans to achieve sales of between EUR 190 million and EUR 210 million in the 2021 financial year. This estimate is based on a strong investment cycle in the semiconductor, electronics and logistics sectors. Furthermore, a vaccine-related improvement in the pandemic situation is expected in the second half of the year. It is also assumed that there will be no significant supply disruptions on the procurement markets for electronic components. This forecast is in line with the medium-term goal of generating sales of EUR 250 million by the end of 2023.
