Strategic cooperation with Eplan
Siemens Smart Infrastructure and Eplan enter into a strategic partnership for the industrial and infrastructure market segments to intensify cooperation in the area of software solutions.
The aim of the cooperation is to coordinate the products of both companies in a more targeted manner in order to offer switchgear manufacturers and electrical planners optimized solutions. "The overarching goal of our collaboration is to create a plug-and-play structure for electrical planners," says Andreas Matthé, CEO Electrical Products at Siemens Smart Infrastructure.
In the industrial market segment, the two companies are intensifying their long-standing collaboration, for example to provide Eplan data for configured Siemens products across the board. For the infrastructure market, the partners have decided to jointly optimize and automate customer processes, for example in the Sivacon and Alpha environment (energy distribution systems) by integrating Simaris (planning tools) and the Eplan platform.
