Trade fair update 2021
Hannover Messe 2021 purely digital
Hannover Messe 2021 will take place as a purely digital event. A face-to-face event is not feasible under the current conditions.
The Hannover Messe was actually planned as a hybrid event, but the coronavirus pandemic means this is not possible. As early as December, there was no longer any mention of a hybrid event on the Hannover Messe website. The official statement from Deutsche Messe AG followed on December 17: "In close consultation with our most important exhibitor committee, we have decided that organizing an in-person trade fair is neither feasible nor justifiable under the current circumstances," said Dr. Jochen Köckler, CEO of Deutsche Messe AG.
According to those responsible, the digital Hannover Messe will focus on a comprehensive conference program, the digitalization of product presentations and software-based business dating. "Virtual visitors will be able to quickly gain an overview of product innovations and use new tools to make direct contact with the companies relevant to them," added Köckler.
Hannover Messe will take place from April 12 - 16, 2021. In addition to software and cloud providers such as Google Cloud, Microsoft and SAP, automation technology manufacturers such as Beckhoff Automation, Bosch Rexroth, Festo, Harting, ifm electronic, Igus, Lenze, Nord Drivesystems, Pepperl+Fuchs, Phoenix Contact, Pilz, SEW-Eurodrive, Sick, Siemens, Turck, Universal Robots, Wago, Weidmüller, Wika Alexander Wiegand and Yaskawa have already registered for the digital Hannover Messe 2021. The Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) and the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft are also represented.
