Working in the extended temperature range

The DC/DC converters BDC-10VC and BDCD-10VC from Bicker are fully encapsulated converter modules in a shielded aluminum housing for industrial use in the temperature range from -40 to +85 °C. Two versions are available.

The 'BDC-10VC' modules are designed for PCB mounting with a 2.54 mm pitch; in contrast, the 'BDCD-10VC' modules with terminal strips can be mounted either directly on the chassis of the application using two fastening screws or on a standard DIN rail using a DIN rail mounting kit. The DC/DC converters deliver a maximum power of 10 W for 24/7 continuous operation and can be supplied with 9 to 36 V(DC) - nominally 24 V(DC) - on the input side. On the output side, models with +5 V(DC) (2000 mA), +12 V(DC) (833 mA) or +24 V(DC) (416 mA) are available as standard. Other output voltages are available on request. The insulation voltage between input and output is 1500 V(DC). The circuit design results in an efficiency of up to 88 %. The integrated overvoltage, short-circuit and overload protection as well as undervoltage protection at the input ensure operational safety. A remote on/off function allows the DC/DC converters to be switched on and off externally via the CTRL input.
