Hy-Line
Increased voltage and temperature range
The latest model in Hy-Line's range of bidirectional DC/DC converters from TDK Lambda, the EZA2500, allows a bus voltage in the range of 260 to 400 V(DC) and a battery voltage of 36 to 65 V(DC).
The operating temperature range has been extended to -10 to +50 °C and the device has been made suitable for use in outdoor cabinets with a double-sided protective coating on the circuit boards and durable dust-resistant fans.
The digitally controlled, compact 1U power supply from Hy-Line with 2.5 kW and 92 % efficiency is designed for energy storage systems with rechargeable batteries in small stand-alone grids, among other things. The converter compensates for fluctuations in the DC grid voltage generated by solar or wind energy by permanently either charging or supporting the bus voltage using a 48 V battery as an energy storage device. There are further fields of application in the cyclical testing of lithium-ion battery blocks or their production. Regenerated energy can also be used in drives for robots, cranes, autonomous ground vehicles or elevators. Parameters for output voltage, output current, battery charge and monitoring signals can be programmed via an RS485 interface.
