DIN rail power supply units with three-phase input
Newly available from Hy-Line Power Components is a compact series of TDK Lambda DIN rail power supplies that can be fed from a three-phase network.
The 3-phase power supply units in the DRB series are designed for continuous operation with 120 and 240 W at 12, 24 and 48 V and can deliver a peak power of 144 or 288 W for 2 seconds. This and a constant current overload characteristic enable operation with capacitive and inductive loads. According to the supplier Hy-Line Power Components, the power supply units also offer a very low inrush current, which means that heavy loads on switches and tripping of input circuit breakers can be avoided. The devices with a wide-range input of 350 to 575 V(AC) and a choice of screw or plug-in terminals are housed in a robust aluminum housing with a width of 55 mm, a height of 129 mm and a depth of 138.2 mm, thus saving space on the DIN rail for other components. The operating efficiency of up to 94 % and the low power consumption in idle mode, which can be reduced to less than 2.3 W in standby mode using the remote switch-on function, reduce energy consumption. For higher power systems, the DIP switch on the front allows droop mode to be activated for parallel operation. All models have a wide adjustment range of 11.4 to 15 V (12 V model), 22.5 to 29 V (24 V models) and 45 to 56 V (48 V model) to compensate for voltage drops on the output lines, to enable the connection of FETs or the adjustment to non-standard output voltages. In addition to an LED display, a DC OK relay contact is available for remote monitoring; switching on and off is possible via a closed relay contact or a logic input.
