MTM Power's portfolio includes the PCMAT150 series of switching power supplies with an output of 150 W for industrial and railroad applications.
The contact-cooled AC/DC modules of the PCMAT150 series from MTM Power offer an input voltage range of 90 to 264 V(AC) and a regulated nominal output voltage of 12 or 24 V(DC). The modules' features include a power good signal, active power factor correction (PFC), an operating temperature range of -40 to +70 °C without derating at 24 V(DC), remote control and an overload capacity of 150 % (power boost). The company puts the efficiency of the modules at 92.5 %. Due to their design, the vacuum encapsulated AC/DC modules are insensitive to shock and vibration. The switching power supplies offer reliable protection against condensation, conductive dusts and other environmental influences.
The design of the insulation coordination to meet the requirements of overvoltage category OV 3 enables use in transient applications, e.g. power engineering. For use on rail vehicles, the devices have been tested in accordance with the requirements of EN 50 155 and EN 50 121-3-2 / EN 50 121-4. Compliance with the special criteria within the railroad standards allows the devices to be used on rail vehicles on the internal 400/230 V (AC) on-board power supply, on the railroad line and in stationary railroad systems.
