Safe analog input module
Sigmatek is expanding its modular S-DIAS safety system with the SAI 041 safe analog input module.
The 25 mm wide module for DIN rail mounting offers four analog current inputs with a measuring range of 4 to 20 mA and a resolution of 16 bit as well as a 24 V sensor supply. Physical variables such as pressure, temperature, level and flow can be reliably recorded and monitored with the SAI 041 from Sigmatek. The input filters are adjustable. Two independent, diverse evaluations with mutual monitoring ensure reliable evaluation of the analog inputs. The recorded values are not only available to the safety CPU but also to the function-oriented control system.
For dual-channel use, the SAI 041 is suitable for the safe acquisition of current signals for safety applications up to SIL 3, PL e, Cat. 4, and for single-channel use up to PL d, Cat. 3 in accordance with EN ISO 13849-1/-2. The module is configured using the Safety Designer integrated into the Lasal engineering platform, which provides TÜV-certified safety function blocks for every application.
In addition to safety controllers, the S-DIAS safety system includes safe digital I/Os, safe relay outputs and safety SNC incremental and SSI absolute encoders.
