New Managing Director Production at Rittal
Carsten Röttchen (pictured) has been appointed Managing Director Production at enclosure and system provider Rittal as of February 1, 2017. He takes over the role from Michael Weiher.
After 15 years at Rittal, Michael Weiher has retired. In his new role, his successor Carsten Röttchen is focusing on the realignment of Rittal production worldwide: the company is building a new, state-of-the-art plant for the production of compact enclosures in Haiger near Siegen. Industry 4.0 structures will form the basis for highly efficient production, logistics and communication processes.
Röttchen, a 48-year-old industrial engineer, has been Head of Production at Rittal since April 2015. He comes from the car manufacturer Opel. He worked there for 23 years in various management positions. His main areas of activity included vehicle start-ups, increasing the efficiency of production systems and the reorganization of production structures. Röttchen studied electrical engineering at Bochum University of Applied Sciences and part-time industrial engineering at Dortmund University of Applied Sciences. He was born in Herne in the Ruhr area, is married and has three daughters.
