Machine-level components simply identified

Harting has developed an ID Module for CAN networks that identifies machine-level components with little effort and integrates them in a production network.

The revision status of a drive and its parameters are just some information that can be saved to allow sure identification. The module is suitable for an industrial environment, supporting the standard DS301 communication profile of CAN in Automation. This profile regulates how devices exchange data with one another. Extra to features like status and diagnostic displays plus automatic baudrate detection, users find space for their data through the extensive object dictionary.
