Durable cable carriers for harsh environments
Helukabel subsidiary EKD Systems presents the stainless steel version of the 'SLE' energy chain type: It is corrosion-resistant, seawater-resistant and enables smooth cable routing at temperatures down to -40 °C.
The chains are available in various sizes up to 150 mm high and 1,200 mm wide, they carry loads of up to 60 kg per meter and allow unsupported lengths of up to 10 m. Inside, they can be customized with perforated aluminium bars, modular plastic inserts or cable-friendly foam inserts. Helukabel is expanding its portfolio of 'Heluchain' drag chain cables to include several variants with a TPE outer sheath. This robust and abrasion-resistant plastic is particularly suitable for extreme mechanical loads and weather conditions. This provides users with a durable overall solution consisting of chain and cable. There is a choice between a bundle-stranded data cable, a pair-stranded cable and a single-core cable in shielded and unshielded versions.
