Binder expands the 'Harsh Environment Connector' (HEC) with a new mains connector: The power connector of the '696 series' is designed for up to 32 A at a rated voltage of 600 V and is available as a cable and flange connector with 4+PE silver contacts (plug or socket).

Made of UL-94V-0 rated polyamide, the connector is rugged and, thanks to its three-point bayonet locking system, it’s quick and safe to mount. A special coupling mechanism prevents misalignment. Mechanical life is over 1000 mating cycles. In addition, according to the supplier, the use of different crimp contacts ensures a safe, vibration-proof connection. The HEC 696 power and flange connector is dustproof, IP68/IP69k protected and can withstand harsh environments such as agriculture and construction, where high pressure cleaning is often used. Other applications include traffic and signaling systems, process plants, water purification plants and recycling technology.
