Peltier cooling

Elmeko | Inka Krischke,

Air circulated the better way

Elmeko launches the next generation of their compact Peltier cooler units. To improve air circulation in a control cabinet and properly direct cold air flow, the solution here sets up on radial-flow fans, high-performance heatsinks and optimized air routing.

The inner radial-flow fan extracts warm air from the upper region of the control cabinet. At the same time a stream of cold air is blown into the cabinet through the bottom opening of the cooler unit. The large spacing between air entry and air exit creates good air circulation in the control cabinet. The PM cooler unit series comes in two sizes with cooling capacity of 50 and 100 W. Connection is by a 6-pole plug-in terminal. Fans and Peltier elements are separate so that cooling or heating can be operated. Temperature controllers are suited to different requirements, while the enclosure of a unit in two parts enables attachment from the outside or a partially built-in solution. The cooler units operate on 24 Vdc and are IP55 graded.
