The Airbus air cab 'Pop.up'

The 'Pop.up' passenger capsule presented by Airbus as a concept study can switch between electrically powered ground and air vehicle modules. This makes the vehicle concept seem like something straight out of a science fiction movie.

If Marius Bebesel - head of the CityAirbus demonstrator - is to be believed, Airbus is seriously working on getting the vehicle to drive and fly. However, the technical certification and approval of the 'Pop.up' is likely to be just as difficult as overcoming the technical difficulties.
