Schaeffler would like to buy the Ewellix Group. The automotive and industrial supplier from Herzogenaurach has concluded a corresponding agreement with the investment company Triton.
Schaeffler intends to strengthen its industrial division with the takeover. The purchase price amounts to around 582 million euros and will be transferred in the form of a so-called share deal. However, the value does not include the net debt of Ewellix to be taken over by Schaeffler of around 120 million euros and transaction costs.
The drive manufacturer based in Gothenburg, Sweden, used to belong to the SKF Group and produces electromechanical industrial actuators and lifting columns as well as roller screws, among other things. These are used in robotics, medical technology and mobile machines, among others.
