Robot-compatible servomotors without housings
Kollmorgen launches the TBM2G series of caseless servo motors suitable for collaborative and medical robots, aerospace and defense robots and other robots.
The motors complement the 'TBM' and 'KBM' series of housingless motors from Kollmorgen. The series is available in seven sizes, each with three lengths. These 21 standard motors can be integrated directly into robot joints and similar embedded devices. Typical applications are collaborative robots in the 3 to 15 kg range, which are operated with 48 V(DC). The motors are designed for high speeds without exceeding the 80 °C limit to protect people working in the vicinity of cobots and to prevent damage to lubricants and electronic components. The motors are also available with temperature sensor options to meet the requirements of drives and control systems in the cobot market.
