Inka Krischke,

More smooth running, precision and torque density

The stepper drive 'P80630-SDN' from Kollmorgen supplies and controls stepper motors that are operated with 24 to 75 V(DC) with up to 5.5 Aeff current per phase (7.8 Aeff maximum value).

The stepper drive is suitable for labeling machines, rotary table drives, CNC machines, packaging systems, pumps and other single or multi-axis systems that require low-speed, point-to-point motion control for fixed loads. According to Kollmorgen, the controller offers improved position accuracy and achieves 10% more output current in a 60% smaller package that is up to 34mm shorter than the '6410', depending on the model. Conventional single-ended or differential clock/direction inputs (user-defined pulse train required) or CW/CCW command inputs are supported. DIP switches can be used to set the motor phase current, idle current reduction and step resolution of up to 1/128 microsteps. A dedicated enable input and an error output allow the drive's power stage to be controlled and errors to be monitored.
