Rated torque up to 5000 Nm

WEG adds helical, flat, and bevel helical gear units for torque ratings up to 5000 Nm to its WG20 portfolio of geared motors. Housings are manufactured from grey cast iron, and suitably ruggedized for applications like in the steel and heavy industries.

This expansion of the geared motor portfolio means that applications calling for greater rated torque can also be accommodated. With a smart modular pinion building system, the gears of this series are designed two- or three-stage for a large range of reduction ratio. In this way losses are much reduced, and the geared motors are especially energy-efficient. Plus, the gear toothing concept optimized by variant enables high takeoff speeds, extra to a wide speed range in all geared motor sizes.
