The transfer of business activities includes all employees, operational facilities, as well as customer and supplier relationships. The previous managing directors Ralf Lutter, Vittorio Tavella and Wolfgang Wiele will take over the management of KEB Automation. Curt Bauer, who is responsible for sales and marketing, is a new addition. Bauer worked for several years in international technical sales at the founding company Karl E. Brinkmann and as Managing Director of KEB Antriebstechnik Austria.

The transfer of business to KEB Automation KG, which was completed at the turn of the year, is based on the targeted further development as a specialist in electric drive technology to become a solution provider in the machine. The existing range of electric drives up to currently 900 kW from the former founding company has been expanded in a targeted manner: with a range of IPC-based control technology for PLC, CNC and motion control tasks, suitable visualization, remote maintenance and a complete software development environment.

The KEB Group achieved a total turnover of over EUR 200 million in 2015 and was able to increase this slightly again in 2016. The group employs over 1,300 people at nine locations worldwide, 850 of whom work at the headquarters in Barntrup in East Westphalia alone.
