Motor series extended

Faulhaber has expanded the BXT flat motor series to include gears that are matched to it as well as integrated encoders and speed controllers, which are also unusually short in the axial direction, according to the manufacturer.

Typical applications for the compact drive systems include robotics, prosthetic joints, laboratory automation, pumps, medical technology and aircraft cabin equipment. Thanks to special winding technology and optimized design, the motors themselves are only 14, 16 and 21 mm long, but deliver torques of up to 134 mNm with diameters of 22 mm, 32 mm and 42 mm respectively.

For precise speed control or where high positioning accuracy is required, diameter-compliant magnetic encoders or speed controllers are fully integrated into the housed motor variants, increasing the length of the drive by just 6.2 mm. The matching metal planetary gearboxes from Faulhaber 's GPT series also offer a short design, high torque and fine gradations of the numerous reduction ratios.
