Parker Hannifin
Motor control in hydraulic applications
Parker Hannifin's Industrial Systems Division Europe announces the launch of the 'AC20F' variable speed drive.
The modular drive was specially developed for motor control in hydraulic applications and is also suitable for use in variable-speed hydraulic pump systems such as the 'DCP' (Drive Controlled Pump) from Parker Hannifin. The frequency inverter is available in numerous power levels from 1.5 kW to 180 kW. Despite its compact dimensions, the inverter integrates functions such as sensorless vector mode for controlling AC induction motors. The status monitoring of hydraulic units is also supported: Oil level and temperature as well as the condition of the filter are automatically detected and trigger either a warning or even a stop of the application if required. As an inverter for the advanced DCP, it supports four operating modes: flow control (Q mode), pressure mode (p), pQ mode and electronic load-compensated (eLCP) pump mode.
