CG Drives & Automation (formerly Emotron) has developed a product range that ensures an efficient and reliable power supply with regulated current and voltage under all circumstances. The modular Emotron frequency converters for renewable energies have already proven themselves in practice in the operation of all-electric and hybrid-electric systems in various applications, such as on ships and in onshore installations. These can be operated with a wide variety of energy sources such as wind turbines, fuel cells and batteries. This flexibility is crucial for a future-proof energy supply, as it enables a seamless transition between energy sources or battery energy storage systems (BESS) as well as feeding energy back into the grid. The product range consists of three core components: AFG grid inverter, VSI motor inverter and DCU to ensure a stable DC voltage. The AFG devices are Smart Grid Ready - they meet the global standards for intelligent power supply networks and can handle up to 150% overcurrent.
