drive controller
Modular interface concept
The flexible SD6 belongs to Stöber‘s family of stand-alone and bayed drive controllers for multi-axis applications. The single-axis controller with a rated output current of up to 85 A controls linear and rotary synchronous servomotors as well as asynchronous motors.
Thanks to its modular interface concept and extensive accessories, it can be configured to fit precisely. Communication modules for CANopen, Ethercat or Profinet are available for connection to a higher-level controller. New in the product portfolio is the ‚SE6‘ safety module, with which the ‚SD6‘ drive controller can be optionally equipped. This makes it suitable for safety-relevant applications up to SIL 3, PL e (category 4) according to DIN 61800-5-2 or DIN EN ISO 13849-1. The short worst-case reaction time of <10 ms enables rapid shutdown and minimization of safety distances. Further features include safe brake management, which consists of safe brake control (SBC) and safe brake test with test cycle monitoring (SBT). In addition to the stop functions STO, SS1 and SS2, SE6 also enables functions for safe motion monitoring. The Safely-Limited Speed (SLS) and Safe Speed Range (SSR) functions ensure that the drive does not exceed the configured speed limits. Safe Direction (SDI) monitors the projected direction of movement, Safely-Limited Increment (SLI) limits the increment. Safe Operating Stop (SOS) monitors the active standstill. The topic of practical suitability was at the forefront of the joint development with Pilz. All safety functions up to SIL 3, PL e (category 4) can thus be used.
