On July 1, 2023, Innomotics was launched as a wholly owned Siemens subsidiary as a legally independent company in Germany. The business activities with low- to high-voltage motors, geared motors, medium-voltage inverters and motor spindles as well as project and service activities for this product portfolio are combined under one roof under the brand. The operational headquarters are located in Nuremberg. The spin-off in Germany has been completed at this point, and the global spin-off should also be largely completed by the start of the new fiscal year on October 1, 2023.
In the future, the Siemens subsidiary will consist of the previous corresponding businesses of the Large Drives Applications and Digital Industries units as well as the legally independent Siemens companies Sykatec and Weiss Spindeltechnologie. Around 15,000 employees worldwide are working to exploit growth potential and thereby secure future success as a pioneering motor and large drive specialist in the market.
