Formula Student Germany 2018Swiss and German racing cars at the front
A total of 4,000 students competed in 118 teams in the 'Formula Student Germany 2018' competition at the Hockenheimring in August. Their self-built racing cars competed in three categories: Combustion Engine, Electric Drive and Autonomous Vehicles.

... the 'Electric' competition class: With their electric racing car, the Swiss team took the overall victory with over 883 points. In second place was the team from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology in Trondheim (over 858 points) and in third place the team from the Ostbeyerische Technische Hochschule Amberg-Weiden (over 837 points).
