Formula Student Germany 2018Swiss and German racing cars at the front
A total of 4,000 students competed in 118 teams in the 'Formula Student Germany 2018' competition at the Hockenheimring in August. Their self-built racing cars competed in three categories: Combustion Engine, Electric Drive and Autonomous Vehicles.

The 'AMZ Driverless' team from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zurich was the most skillful in the 'Driverless' competition class, which took place for the second time - with a clear score of over 959 points. The team from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology followed in second place this year with over 522 points and finally the team from the Technical University of Hamburg with over 506 points.
