Ekrem Sirman resigns as Chairman of the Management Board
Ekrem Sirman will step down as Chairman of the Management Board of Harmonic Drive on December 31, 2019. Information on the succession plan for the Management Board will be announced in January.
"We are ending our collaboration after 14 years on good terms and with mutual respect," explains Akira Nagai, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Harmonic Drive. "When he took over as CEO in 2008, he set an important course, realigned the company and has successfully developed it strategically to date."
The Supervisory Board intends to announce further information on the succession plan for the Management Board in January. Until then, CEO Norimitsu Ito will take over all Management Board activities.
Last year, drive technology manufacturer Harmonic Drive recorded its highest turnover since its foundation at 120 million euros and employs over 400 people at its Limburg site.
