ebm-papst
CEO Rainer Hundsdörfer leaves the company
After almost four years as CEO, Rainer Hundsdörfer (58) left his employer ebm-papst, manufacturer of fans and drives, on April 30, 2016. The reason given by ebm-papst is a difference of opinion regarding the future management of the company.
Until the CEO position is filled, the Managing Directors will assume full responsibility for their area and report directly to the shareholders and the Advisory Board.
Hundsdörfer joined ebm-papst in September 2012 from the mechanical engineering group and automotive supplier Schaeffler, where he had been Chairman of the Industrial Management Board and a member of the Executive Board since 2008. In his position as CEO of ebm-papst, the company grew to a turnover of around 1.7 billion euros. Under his leadership, the Group was aligned with the guiding principle of 'GreenTech' to balance ecology and economy along the entire value chain.
