Sensor+Test 2019 focuses on process automation
This year's Sensor+Test from June 25 to 27, 2019 will bring around 530 international exhibitors to Nuremberg. Among other things, they will be providing information on this year's special topic of process automation.
According to Holger Bödeker, Managing Director of the organizer AMA Service, this year's Sensor+Test is expected to have "slightly fewer exhibitors than last year, as the ettc - European Test and Telemetry Conference, which will take place at the same time in 2018, will not be held together with Sensor+Test again until 2020." In 2018, 591 exhibitors from 32 nations took part in the Nuremberg trade fair.
This year's special theme will inform visitors about sensors and measurement technology solutions for process automation in a special forum. On the other hand, the lecture forum in Hall 5 on the first day of the trade fair will focus on the special topic, including newly developed measurement methods, self-monitoring sensor networks and systems for process analysis with cloud and AI support. Specific presentation topics include 'The cloud as an enabler for demand-oriented maintenance and improving machine availability', 'Process monitoring and automation in the cloud' and 'Optical vibration measurement technology for reliable vibroacoustic quality control in production'.
In addition to the exhibition, Sensor+Test offers visitors the opportunity to find out more about products and applications in presentations by exhibitors at specialist forums. As part of the congress, the open session 'Citizen Science with Sensors - Sensor Technology for Citizen Science' will also take place on June 26, which trade fair visitors can attend free of charge and without pre-registration. In a departure from the usual schedule, Sensor+Test will again be accompanied this year by the 20th GMA/ITG symposium 'Sensors and Measurement Systems 2019'. The previous AMA congresses 'Sensor' and 'IRS2' will be integrated into the new international conference 'SMSI 2020 - Sensor and Measurement Science International' from 2020.
