"The growth drivers in the past financial year were the numerous new developments with which we expanded our broad portfolio of smart sensor solutions," says CEO Oliver Vietze. The Stockach site in southern Germany, which opened in 2018, made a significant contribution to the successful financial year. Baumer develops and produces smart sensors at the High-Tech Center Bodensee and delivers orders throughout Europe from the logistics hub - especially in a year with difficult supply chains, this logistics center with a fully automated central warehouse was an important building block for good delivery capability.

Baumer is also investing in the future at its headquarters in Frauenfeld (Switzerland). With the construction of the new Innovation Center, the sensor specialist is creating modern workplaces for its developers at a cost of CHF 20 million. The resource-conserving building energy concept includes a solar shell and the use of geothermal energy.
