New responsibility for Helmut Schmid

As Managing Director of Universal Robots (Germany) and Regional Sales Director for Western and Northern Europe, Helmut Schmid is now responsible for all of the company's activities in Northern Europe in addition to the DACH and Benelux countries: in Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland.

Helmut Schmid, Universal Robots

Helmut Schmid joined Universal Robots in 2016 and, as General Manager Western Europe, has been responsible for the expansion of the rapidly growing core market of Western Europe. Under his leadership, the German subsidiary was founded in autumn 2016, the team and sales structure in the region were continuously expanded and services and training centers were extended. "It is particularly important to me to take everyone with me on this new journey and to always listen to the individual needs of each region and employee," says Schmid.

Denmark, Universal Robots' home market, will play a special role in Schmid's new range of tasks. Today, the country has the world's highest density of robots in the field of lightweight robotics and a particularly high level of public attention. "The Universal Robots success story began in Odense in 2005. Even though we have been a global company from the very beginning, Denmark is our flagship."
