Dechema, VDI and AMA
Joint specialist group for measurement and sensor technology
Dechema, VDI and AMA Association for Sensors and Measurement have founded a joint specialist group for measurement and sensor technology, in which cross-organizational activities are to be bundled in the future.
The three organizations Dechema Gesellschaft für Chemische Technik und Biotechnologie, the VDI Verein Deutscher Ingenieure and the AMA Verband für Sensorik und Messtechnik are creating a joint contact point to strengthen networking between researchers, developers and users in the field of measurement and sensor technology.
The group's tasks include the further development of the specialist field. In addition to the meetings of the committee, the exchange of information and the organization of events such as the Dresden Sensor Symposium, the group prepares cross-organizational position papers and studies for politicians, funding bodies and its own communities. The specialist group also deals with the promotion of young scientists, initiates projects on new research and development topics and develops joint guideline activities.
The new specialist group is managed by Dechema as part of 'ProcessNet' - a joint initiative of Dechema and VDI-GVC.
All members of the three supporting organizations who are interested in measurement and sensor technology as well as chemical engineering and biotechnology are invited to participate.
