Hanover Fair 2018Winner of the Hermes Award 2018 chosen
This year, Endress+Hauser Messtechnik - a specialist in process measurement technology - won the Hermes Award 2018. The industry prize, endowed with 100,000 euros, was presented by Anja Karliczek, Federal Minister of Education and Research, during the opening ceremony of the trade fair.
Alpha Laser from Puchheim: The nominated product is an innovative mobile laser welding system for flexible repair work. The special feature is that the AR visualization of the welding process takes place via 3D laser safety goggles. This enables the user to simultaneously perceive the welding task and their surroundings. The welding area is displayed enlarged in the user's field of vision and process-relevant data is superimposed on the image. The laser beam is triggered via an ergonomically designed hand-held device that enables flexible and safe use.
