With the EPT7100 pressure sensor in protection class IP67, Variohm EuroSensor offers a robust version for measuring gases and liquids in the range up to 10 bar. All wetted parts are made of stainless steel (316SS), the specifications for shock and vibration loads are aimed at applications ranging from industrial vehicles or off-road vehicles to refrigeration units and compressors. The pressure sensors work with piezoresistive sensor elements, but do not require silicone oil or internal O-rings. Four of the five relative pressure measuring ranges up to 10 bar are also available for absolute pressure measurements. In the compensated temperature range between -20 and +85 °C, the tolerance band including thermal effects is within ±1 % of the measuring span. Error-free operation is guaranteed for temperatures between -40 and +125 °C (measuring media or in the environment). The electrical output signal is kept in the format 0.5 to 4.5 V with a 5 V supply. While four variants are available for the pressure connection, the electrical connection is made via a Packard connector as standard.
