Michell Instruments announces the launch of the new XZR250 oxygen analyzer for monitoring combustion processes in industrial boilers. It has been specifically designed to meet the requirements of applications with high operating temperatures in the flue gas. The XZR250 uses a robust and low-maintenance zirconium oxide sensor. A key advantage is said to be the fast response time of less than 15 seconds to changes in oxygen concentration over the entire measuring range. According to the manufacturer, the accuracy of <0.25% ensures optimum conditions for combustion control. The analyzer can be installed without special tools, and handling and commissioning via the start routine is intuitive. The probe can be inserted directly into the combustion boiler up to 700°C. The pitot effect generated in the probe tube ensures that the sampling gas is cooled sufficiently to prevent damage to the sensor without complex preparation. Since air can be used as the calibration gas for the XZR250, calibration is extremely simple and cost-effective.
